He spent 40 years in stockbroking and investment banking.  He also served on a number of Boards as a non-executive director(BAe Systems, London Regional Transport) and more recently,  Chairman of the Racecourse Association.  He now focuses on various voluntary activities.  He is Treasurer of Essex County Cricket Club and Chairman of the Ground Development Panel.  He is a Pastmaster of the Worshipful  Company of Coopers and Ex-Deacon of the Incorporation of Coopers of Glasgow.  He still plays an active role in both companies, including Editor of ‘The Cooper’. He is a Foundation Governor of the Coopers’ Company and Coborn School.

Keith, with Rita, maintains a strong interest in horses and horseracing and Keith is currently a committee member of the Royal  Ascot Racing Club.

Keith with Rita and Lucy are all active as Trustees of the Fryerning Foundation, the family charity. He is also a trustee of the Perry Foundation, a local agricultural charity. Keith is Chairman of Beyond Youth, a Community Interest Charity focussing on the rehabilitation of offenders.

He is also Chairman of the Fryerning Parish Room Association which is reviving the use of Fryerning Parish Room.


Rita is never happier than when she is with the grandchildren or on a racecourse.  She is a keen owner and breeder of horses as well as a regular racegoer with Keith.

Rita is a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Farriers which brings her into contact with many people in the horseracing and veterinary  profession.  Recently she became a member of the Incorporation of Hammermen which is the closest relationship to the Farriers.  She is Deputy Chairman of the Brentwood Foyer which supports young people who have little or no family.


Lucy, Dave and Family

The house in Pine Drive is home to Lucy, Dave, Kaya (19), Leah (16), Emily (13), Annabel (11) and Jack (7) in addition to  Spartacus, their golden retriever bred by Rita are two Jack Russells and several chickens.

Kaya is studying to be a Secretary at Pittman’s College.  Leah is at Chelmsford College studying Health and Social Care.  Emily is at St. John’s School, Billericay whilst Annabel and Jack are at the Junior School in Ingatestone.

Dave and Lucy are active in village life, Dave organises firework displays and Lucy organises the local playscheme in the summer – CHIPS. Lucy is also on the PTA of the Junior School.



Tim is enjoying an active career with SKY Sport.  One of their youngest directors he particularly focuses on their Golf programmes.  He travels regularly to the US to cover the major tournaments, including the Ryder Cup.  Additionally, he on the production team covering two of the major showjumping events as well  as many other sporting events.

Tim lives in Fryerning and with his experience is keenly involved in the development of our equestrian  facilities as well as ownership  of his own showjumping horses.
