More than just a house
Fryerning HouseWelcome to the Fryerning House web-site in the Essex countryside. It is not only the home of Keith and Rita Brown but also the centre of their charitable and community activities particularly focussed around Fryerning Foundation, the family charity. Fryerning House has a fascinating history linked to the small Essex village of Fryerning. Lyndsay’s Farm adjoins Fryerning House and it is the home of Keith and Rita’s racehorses while not in formal training. It also offers livery services.
In 2021 Keith published a book REFLECTIONS on his stimulating, interesting and hugely varied life which embraces a successful business career, active involvement in national and local politics, serving as Master and Deacon of trade guilds in London and Glasgow as well as prominent roles in cricket and horseracing. He recollects his early life in Gidea Park and a golden era of marriage and family life in Ingatestone and Fryerning.
About Us
Fryerning Foundation was formed in 2000 by Keith and Rita Brown who, with their daughter Lucy Whittaker, and son Tim Brown are the four trustees. By creating an endowment fund that generates regular income, they have been able to provide regular support to a number of their chosen charities, and also ensure that this will continue in perpetuity. Additionally donations have enabled the range of giving to be broadened.
